Those who were fortunate enough to have watched the old Sentai series of earlier anime shows would recognize the elements used in creating the Overwatch character Genji and the eventual Sentai skin that goes with the character. Initially created as a warrior ninja-type cyborg, the character's new skin is actually a throwback reference to the Rider anime shows of earlier years, most notably Kamen Rider the insect-themed motorcycle riding hero with a devastating kick. The design is faithfully reproduced in the print of the Genji Sentai unisex pullover hoodie.
Harken back to the days when a noble insect-themed mystery motorcycle rider would ride to the rescue and save everyone from villains and aliens bent on destroying the human race.
